DISCLAIMER: This is stuff that I thought up personally. I have no idea what ER will be doing for crafting but I thought this would be a fun and knowledgeable  poll. Please enjoy.

:Update:
Due to the recent Dev chat, several crafting skills are proven to be in game such as-
Robotics (including ones that help you)
Land Vehicles (single passenger)
Armor Enhancements (like implants, or stat boosters)

I'm gona say, definitely weapon smithing until I get into a decent gild, ad them most likely I would change professions to something that would benefit the guild, whether it be some form of architecture profession or the like.

Leaning towards robots. Had an SWG Droid Engie... loved it till the droid nerf. I figure there will be plenty demand for these helpful "pets."

Im leaning towards that too. I have a lot of hype just to get my hands crafting something, I dont really know what Im going to do though yet xD.

This is a hard choice. i have been a big crafter in every game I play. The crafting system is usually a reason why I like or dislike a game. Based off this list I have to go with Engineer I guess.

In SWG I had an Armorsmith and Driod Engineer and loved but I think with the controlable territories and all I think guilds are going to need a couple hardcore and dedicated Engineers or Architects to pump out those defense buildings or harvesters.

I said other but it stands for all of the above...

Seens we can learn all the skill, I dont see why we should
center on one group. I might be stop by faction design,
but thats the only thing that gonna stop me for crafting
what the people wants. Oh and the resource needed to do
it.  Grin

Unless some of the materials are hard to get, probably focus on weapons and armor but if it doesn't hurt anything will build up everything I can afford to.

I chose other, because Medicine/drugs wasn't on
poll list, even though Earthrise will feature that type of crafting
 Sad.
Yes, I find any crafting to do within the medical area
very interesting Smiley.

Yea, I will be a mix of things... i'm probly gonna be more of a jack of all trades type person...

Focusing on crafting but i will do other play styles, more of a stealth range combat medic, but have the ability to craft well.

I love the idea of being able to learn all the skills on one toon.

I like the idea of custom building my gear too my playstyle, being able to progress all my abilities over time, even if it takes longer.

Chose other, because im considering multiple crafting paths.
I dont know how the progress in crafting works, im thinking architecture, engineering, and some drugs wouldnt hurt Smiley

If there is architecture in the game , thats my first choice as a craftsman, and random tech making will be like a hobby.
But if we really can learn everything given the right amount of time - then ill learn everything i can.

What if we can combine the knowledge from 2 or 3 crafting jobs and make something bigger/badder/smarter..
