Hello!
This week's QOTW was inspired by this topic on PVP Quests. Enjoy!

This week we dabble in PvP once again, to see if there's a place for Quests that pair characters versus characters. Bwen's question and suggestions serve as a great point that Earthrise development has already covered. Few weeks ago we already explained our plans for the Bounty Hunting system - where players who get killed can set up Bounties on the head of their killer, and Bounty Hunters receive "carte blanche" to kill those who have a reward put on their head. Bounty Hunters will be encouraged to do their hard work for many rewards - non-penalized PvP in secure areas is one of them but also they will unlock rewards as they achieve goals - both permanent and temporary. The best Bounty Hunters will even get their services advertised across the city of Sal Vitas or the underground base of Noir and gain them the recognition and respect of all those vengeance they carry out. We are also working on a system that will allow Guilds to announce a war to another Guild and have small benefits in a global war that takes over not only the contested territories but the whole island of Enterra. Finally, almost every quest in Earthrise will have effect on your Contribution score, a measure of your affiliation between Continoma and Noir. As you start to betray your brethren, you will be cast into treason and you could change your faction, and some quests will even send you out as an undercover agent, providing you with temporary change of faction just that you could carry out a secret mission in the enemy lines. Once completed, your initial faction affiliation will be restored along with a lucrative reward.

Please feel free to discuss, below.

But when i now get the Quest Kill AemJaY as example. But Aemjay plays online maybe just monday and tuesday night.
And iam not Online at this time. Or how can i find this other player?
How did i know where the player is. Has this player a gps in his ass so i see it blinking on my Map or how does this work??

I can hardly wait to hear stories about Kavadas trying to go undercover.  Smiley

I wonder how undercover status is going to affect PvP.

I'm sure while undercover you will be for all intents and purposes a member of the opposite faction. Gotta work for your "lucrative" reward.

This is something that I want to hear more about and how it will work. Pleasee expand more on this please! Or do I have to wait... Sad

I was expecting bounty to be a major part of PvP quests so no suprise there.

OOohh, forgot it was Monday!

I was just reading that thread the other day too!

Rewards for bounty hunting seems fun. Kinda makes me wonder which route I'll choose now >.>

Aw, come on, be willing to put some effort into your bounty hunting! Where's the fun in fire and forget missions like that? Wouldn't give the other player a fair chance either, imo.

Does faction reputation superscede bounty hunting rights?  To be more specific, a Noir BH can't go gun down a die hard Continoman in the middle of Sal Vitas and not expect any NPC guard retaliation, can they?

What takes priority?

presumably the guards would already be hostile to the player before they actually reached Sal Vitas.

I imagine that theoretically a scenario could occur where you sneak in to SV, kill a continoma due to bounty rights, and don't incur any ADDITIONAL penalties, but you'd still be in deep trouble with the guards anyways.

I'd think it'd be closer to what Tyrus suggested than not, but we can't say for sure yet. Still... I don't think players should get free passes in enemy territory, that'd be kinda silly. Not to say that it should be impossible, but it should be hard to take out a player, through a bounty or otherwise, in the targets home city.
