Hi everyone,
Here's this week's QOTW, straight from the developers.

On Feldron's request, this week we delve into the pool of resources available in Earthrise to present to you the various ways to acquire the most powerful resources available in the game. We have already announced that the way for players to harvest such resources would be to build a mine on a contested territory their guild has gained control on. But what happens to all those solo players who don't have a guild or wish not to participate in combat? Are they left in the blue with the only option to buy such resources from guilds, and only if those guilds are willing to share and at a price that the market will bear? Not at all! We thought of these questions and provided such players with alternative ways.

Similar to crafting items, players will be able to dismantle and process items down to their basic components, even if the melted component's quality will naturally not be as high of quality when compared to the source item. Processing items will allow players to extract rare resources from items that other players have created or have been found as loot from powerful opponents. Also, there will be quests that provide players with rare resources as part of their rewards. A portion of these quests will be provided by organizations and are designed to be repeatable, allowing players to "harvest" small amounts of rare resources as they raise their reputation towards these organizations.

This is just a little bit from our developers, and we invite you to ask questions below - don't worry, there will be more to come on this topic! Have a great week, everyone.

So that means that there are different levels of quality for even the basic of materials. (i.e. This is a quality level 2 polymer, and this is a Q.L. 3) Smiley Wasn't sure if this had been confirmed yet, so it makes me happy!

That's awesome! I'm glad to see that solo players and/or non-PVPers won't be left in the dust!

looks really cool to me.  If I'm not totally focused on other skills, I might even put a few towards this kind of thing.

This is a really cool feature. This will come in handy when a really nice piece of gear or a weapon is coming to the end of its life span and the components can be reclaimed for reuse in another crafted item.

will be interesting to see if the components retrieved from nearly-destroyed items are of lesser quality then ones recovered from near-perfect equipment.
